TMJ Appliance

TMJ, or the Temporal Mandibular Joint, which is the area where the lower jaw joints connect to the head, locating right in front of the ear canals. Problems in this area can cause popping and clicking when opening or closing the mouth, pain and discomfort, as well as limited opening.

There are several treatment modalities to treat TMD. Among those, by wearing a well-designed lab-fabricated appliances can bring about great relieves for those who suffered.

Oral Cancer Screening

We offer the least invasive, yet accurate intra-oral cancer screening to high-risk patients. With the use of the ultraviolet light shining into the mouth, abnormalities that are normally undetectable with naked eyes can easily be noticed (see dark areas in photo at left). Once the abnormalities are detected, further diagnostic procedure (ie. biopsy, etc…) is recommended to confirm its nature.

Snore Appliances

​​Snoring can be very disruptive to the spouse, roommate, or other people sharing the same bedroom as the person who snores during the night. If not corrected, it can lead to relationship issues, as well as other health consequences. Studies have shown that snoring is the sign of obstructive sleep apnea, which can lead to day-time fatigue and cardiovascular problems, etc.

There are many treatment modalities aimed to reduce snoring. Among them are lab fabricated removable devices, some examples are shown in the picture on the right.

Sport-guard

When participating in any type of contact sport, such as: playing soccer, basket-ball, karate, etc … It is extremely critical to protect the individual’s teeth and jaw bones. Each year, thousands of injuries have been reported arised from contact sports.

There are different types of sport-guards. Some are store-bought, and some are custom-maded by a dental lab with instructions from a dental professional. While store-bought appliance seems to work, but it is far inferior to its custom-made counter-part. The latter offers superior fit and comfort, as well as better protection.
